Earthfest Boulder is a complete celebration of sustainability and community on Sunday, April 25th, 2010 in honor of Earth Day. Earthfest is a combination of activities including, live music, the 5th Annual Dirt Day Adventure Challenge and Expo, and the Kids Cruiser Parade. In addition, there are hands-on family activities, such as: leave-no-trace clinics, renewable energy demos, live music, fly fishing and climbing classes, and plenty of good local organic food!

This groundbreaking local event will bring together green building professionals, local government staff, local officials, practitioners, and innovators to educate, learn, inspire, and build connections.

Ideas To Action is a collaborative event that will facilitate the translation of ideas into actions to assist our community in achieving greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction goals in the residential and commercial green building sectors. This forum will provide the education and networking required for green building professionals to gain the tools necessary to be leaders in this movement.

The “Heroes of Sustainability Awards” event honors people who make far reaching contributions in the field of sustainability. This year’s event features Lester Brown, President of the Earth Policy Institute, author of over 50 books on environmental issues, and hailed as “one of the world’s most influential thinkers.”

The Alliance for Sustainable Colorado has been working since 2004 to bring together leadership from all sectors of society in order to create a more sustainable Colorado.
